Welcome to the new S & B Evans & Sons Ltd web site, award winning Chelsea Flower Show exhibitors (2003, 2004, 2005) & makers of terracotta pots, fountains, plaques (including ceramic house number plaques to order) & much more.

As many of our regular customers will know, we have relocated to Norfolk & are in the process of setting up a new workshop. The image above is the current state of the building (as you can see, we're still some way off being able to begin production again!). Our original target dates for commissioning the new workshops are now looking vastly optimistic. A combination of factors continue to delay the time when we can begin production. The wettest summer in recent memory coinciding with major ground works, including new soakaways and sewage treatment plant, has put months onto our original estimates.

Apart from the workshops, the house is also taking longer to complete than we thought. We are also coming to terms with a totally different pace of life in Norfolk which appears to be compulsory. Three speeds exist for doing things in Norfolk, slow, slower and stopped.

On the positive side the three workshops are now up and weatherproof . The next step is to insulate try and get 3-phase and install the propane tanks.

Much of the 1 acre garden and orchard has been cleared and a definite landscape plan has been established. We hope to be able to start making pots for the garden here sometime in late spring. We will then begin to establish the new on line gallery

We spent over 20 years trading in the Columbia Road area & our shop and yard at Ezra St closed for the last time on Sunday the 22nd of April. The bed maker, Warren Evans, will be using the building as his East London showroom.
